Thank you for considering donating an item to the Society’s permanent collection. As decluttering continues in popularity, we hope to spread the word that the Society seeks to preserve Tasha Tudor related items. The Society’s goal for the permanent collection is to preserve items for the future, to use them for research for Journal articles, and to lend them for exhibitions.

Donation Guidelines

The Society welcomes donations of the following:

  • Anything from Tasha’s hands; i.e. artwork, letters, things she made
  • Letters from those close to or living with Tasha
  • Newspaper articles
  • Photographs of Tasha or her homes
  • Published books; first editions only
  • Select Christmas cards from the 1940s-70s
  • Dutch Inn price sheets

The Society is not accepting the following:

  • Most mass-produced, commercial items
  • Most well-known magazine articles (Collection complete)
  • Jenny Wren Press and Corgi Cottage catalogs or ephemera (Collection complete)
  • Any items without prior approval.

When the Society first began accepting items in 2007, there were no collection standards because the Society accepted everything offered. The Collection Policy was created in 2012 and specified guidelines for which kinds of items to accession. Today, the collection contains over 450 items or groups of items.

Thank you for considering a donation to the Tasha Tudor Society.
