As an early cold spell spills into the United States, my family prepared for 20 degree mornings by piling firewood close at hand and filling baskets with kindling and birch bark. As we step into the cozy season, the early evenings bring more time for writing, for drawing, and for sitting by the firelight. Tasha would have been tucked into her rocking chair by the cookstove, warming her feet while reading or writing letters. She delighted in the changing seasons.
There is good news to share! I’m so pleased to announce that we surpassed our fall goal and raised $17,867! The Society community, including 42 new members, came together to preserve Tasha’s legacy with 330 donations, from 43 states and five countries. Thank you!!!
And more good news! Our Fall/Winter 2024 Journal won first place in the Newsletters & Magazines (with budgets under $500,000) category as part of the New England Museum Association Publication Award Competition.
The Fall/Winter 2025 issue is being printed now and will mail out shortly. Remember, if your membership was current on November 1, you will automatically receive the next issue of the Journal of the Tasha Tudor Society in the mail.
