Dear Friends,
There is good news to share! We’re so pleased to announce that we achieved our spring fundraising goal of $21,000. The Society community, including 62 new members, came together to preserve Tasha’s legacy with 401 donations, from 46 states, Washington D.C, Canada, Denmark, Italy, Japan, and Norway. Thank you!!!
The Spring/Summer 2026 Journal of the Tasha Tudor Society is being printed now and will mail out shortly. Remember, if your membership was current on May 1, you will automatically receive the next issue of the Journal of the Tasha Tudor Society in the mail by late May.

In Issue 25, you’ll enjoy learning about Rosemary (above), a special French Fashion doll Tasha gifted to her friend Virginia Lightner. Can you guess what famous event Rosemary took part in? The article shares rare photographs of Rosemary with her friend Melissa, the model for A is for Annabelle.
The next issue also shares a 2026 donation of precious letters Tasha wrote from the 1950s onward. The collection includes a sketch of the doll-size glassware she sought to have custom made by Corning Glass Works. This gift substantiates oral history handed down in the Tudor family – a Society dream realized!

The third surprise in the upcoming issue regards The Little Princess (1963). Find out more about a previously unknown alternative illustration that has been added to the Society’s permanent collection.

The Society is grateful for the opportunity to collect, research and share stories about one of the United State’s most beloved children’s book illustrators. While Tasha’s illustrations bring tranquility, we do feel some urgency to collect primary sources before they are lost to history. Thank you for supporting this goal, as well as celebrating Tasha’s legacy of finding joy in the little things, taking time to appreciate beauty, and nourishing the inner artist in all of us.
