Celebrate Tasha Tudor's 111th Birthday with Joy and Inspiration

The Society invites you to celebrate Tasha Tudor’s 111th birthday today, Friday, August 28.

Perhaps you are among the flower gardeners, the fiber artists, the homesteaders, the doll collectors, the writers, the visual artists, the readers, the antique collectors, the historic home renovators, the fashion enthusiasts, and/or the corgi devotees who find inspiration in Tasha’s world? There are many ways to love Tasha and many ways to celebrate.

Tasha loved a festive celebration, afternoons of quiet, and everything in between.

Consider gathering your friends or enjoying a quiet cup of tea by yourself by candlelight. If you have young children, turn yourself over to their unparalleled imagination for an afternoon.

Thank you to all of the Society members and volunteers who make it possible to shine a light onto the national treasure that is Tasha Tudor.

Take a moment to watch a wild bird take a bath in a puddle or birdbath. Feed your chickens a treat of cutworms found while weeding (or cooked macaroni, they love it just as much.)

Cut a bouquet to display. Can the peaches. Or tomatoes. Walk barefoot. Mend your favorite dress. Pull out your Tasha books and study the borders for details you may have missed. Make a nourishing home-cooked meal. Let night fall around you as you rock on the porch. Walk under the full moon.

This August, Tasha Tudor Society held five events around the country, plus our first ever nationwide, virtual event last weekend. Connecting with nearly 200 of you was a dream come true that lifted spirits across the country (and world!)
